Enchanted by Jo, LLC ("Enchanted," "we," "us") runs enchantedbyjo.com, a small San Francisco shop for food from local, small-batch makers. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or order, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions are always welcome at hello@enchantedbyjo.com.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email address, mobile number, what you ordered, and either your chosen pickup spot and time or your delivery address and any delivery notes you give us.
When you create an account or sign in: your email address, plus any details you choose to save, such as your name, phone number, delivery address and whether you usually prefer pickup or delivery.
When you contact us: your name, email address, the topic, and your message.
When you join our newsletter: your email address.
Payments: you pay on Stripe's secure payment page. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us only what we need to confirm your order, such as the amount and whether the payment succeeded.
How we use it
We use your information to prepare and hand over your order, text or email you about it (for example, to confirm a delivery window), run your account so you can see past orders and reorder, answer your questions, send our newsletter if you signed up, keep the records required for taxes and accounting, and protect the shop against fraud.
We don't sell your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the shop, and only as much as they need to do their job:
- Stripe processes payments and sends your payment receipt.
- Supabase stores our product catalog, orders and accounts, and handles sign-in.
- Resend delivers our order and sign-in emails.
- Netlify hosts our website.
- Mailchimp sends our newsletter, if you subscribed.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our customers and our business.
Cookies and what your browser remembers
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our site stores two small things in your own browser so it works: your basket, and your sign-in if you're signed in. You can clear them anytime in your browser settings. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to download them. Stripe's payment page uses its own cookies to keep payments secure; see Stripe's privacy policy.
Do Not Track: since we don't track you across other websites, our site behaves the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for taxes and accounting. Account details stay until you ask us to delete your account. Contact messages are kept while we're helping you and for a reasonable time afterward.
Your choices
You can view and update your saved details anytime on your account page. To get a copy of your information, correct it, or delete your account, email hello@enchantedbyjo.com and we'll take care of it. Some order records may need to be kept for tax purposes even after your account is deleted. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter with the link at the bottom of any newsletter email.
Security
We use trusted providers, secure connections, and access rules so that only you and the Enchanted team can see your orders. No system is perfect, but we take care to protect your information.
Children
Our shop is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, we'll let account holders know by email.
