About Molinari

P.G. Molinari opened his salame factory in North Beach in 1896, twelve years after arriving in San Francisco from Piedmont, Italy. The business is still owned by his family today, five generations later.

The salame is still made in San Francisco, in the Bayview, the traditional Italian way: slowly dry cured, helped along by the city's cool, foggy air. The family's delicatessen on Columbus Avenue in North Beach has been a neighborhood landmark for generations.
