About Rize Up

Rize Up Bakery was started in San Francisco in 2020 by Azikiwee “Z” Anderson, a chef who began baking sourdough at home during the pandemic. The name has two meanings: the way dough rises, and standing up for what is right.

Today Z and his team bake in SoMa. They are known for sourdough in flavors you don't expect from a San Francisco loaf, like purple ube and masala, alongside the classic OG loaf.
